The Right to Manage

The 2002 Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act allows long leaseholders of flats to apply for the right to manage. This enables leaseholders to acquire control of the management of their property. They may choose to manage it themselves or appoint managing agents. Leaseholders do not have to prove any fault by the landlord and the landlord’s consent is not required. In order to apply the qualifying criteria must be met. If you are interested in applying for this right and want to check whether you qualify please contact our landlord and tenant department.
